About the IEC:

• Strategic advisory body supporting York University’s commitments to Truth and Reconciliation, the TRC Calls to Action, and decolonization.
• Advises the President and senior leadership on policies, practices, and programs related to Indigenous students, staff, faculty, and communities.
• Meets quarterly and includes both university members and Indigenous community representatives.
• Membership is established through nominations, with future appointments selected by the Council.
